CHANGE EQUALS GROWTH II
You have to go through life with more than just strategy and vision. You have to possess a definite purpose, and be led by that purpose and passion for life.
Change requires more than just righteous anger. But to bring about lasting change, even self-awareness isn't enough. Purpose and passion is vital.
And with purpose and passion, you begin to build a strategy to pursue your aspirations. Make sure your plan of strategy for change includes personal growth.
Remember, hope is not blind optimism. Hope is the result of taken action, and not just based on feelings, emotions and pretending that everything is perfect. Without hope there can be no direction without defining your purpose.
But with hope we gain the confidence and strength to keep moving forward in life. Hope shines as a beckon of light in a world filled with darkness and despair. Hope is not pretending that racism, injustice, and inequality doesn"t exist.
THE POWER OF HOPE FOR CHANGE
- Change demands that we see the world as it really, with all of it's imperfections, and indifference of opinions. But still believe we have the power to shape it into something for positive change. That belief doesn't come from a place of comfort. It comes from a place of courage to exercise the right to vote, speak out against inequality, and stand up for the poor and needy.
- It forges through struggles, and grows when we choose not to quit or give up on our hopes and dreams. Change is what pushes a teacher to return to the classroom day after day, even when school supplies and resources are limited. Change is what keeps a single parent going even when having to juggle three jobs, and still finds time to read their child a bedtime story.
- Change is what drives a young person to speak out against racism, organize voter registration, and march believing that their voice matters, even when others try to silence it. These bold acts may not make the evening news, but it keeps the soul of our communities alive. fighting for change doesn't mean that we deny the struggles of pain around us. But we refuse to be defined by it.
